New details for the DMZ mode in Warzone 2.0 have been revealed. We begin with the DMZ, described in an official blog post from the developers as an “open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode,” which gives squads of operators the freedom to compete and complete faction-based missions.
Players can further take on side missions, challenge enemy operators and AI combatants, and search for items of value as they fight toward exfiltration. More details are expected “closer to [the DMZ mode’s] launch,” the developers add.
Now let’s move on to Custom Loadouts, which will be returning for the next iteration. Loadouts will play a pivotal role in the next iteration of Warzone. Players are promised quicker access to their primary weapon of choice, with three key ways to earn a loadout. The first are shops (previously known as buy stations), where players can use in-game cash to purchase weapons from loadouts.

nd are the public event loadout drops, which fall into Al Mazrah during a match. According to the blog post, these drops will not be “limited or assigned to individual squads, but instead can be accessed” by everyone. The third and final way to access custom loadouts are strongholds and black sites. If players can clear these locations early in their games, they will be rewarded handsomely.
Season One of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will go live on November 16 from 10am PT. The Modern Warfare sequel will receive the Season One update on November 14 at 10am PT, and all platforms can pre-load Warzone 2.0 at the same time. Will you be pre-loading?
