The former PlayStation exclusive Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection released on Steam this Wednesday, and the initial concurrent player count is lacking. Whilst the game does have a ‘Very Positive’ score on Steam, the concurrent player count for the release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection was the lowest ever for a PlayStation title on PC.
This news was first noticed by user Ryuichi Naruhodo on Install Base, so thanks to them for sharing this. SteamDB tracks daily peak concurrent player counts on Steam, and allows us to make some accurate comparisons to the launch of other PlayStation Studios titles.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection debuted with just 7,973 peak concurrent players on release day. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered had a release day concurrent player peak of 60,210, almost eight times higher than Uncharted.

The full list of major PlayStation releases and their release day concurrent player peak is as follows:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered – 60,210 players
- Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition – 56,557 players
- God of War – 49,411 players
- Days Gone – 18,287 players
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – 7,973 players
The reason for this low debut has a lot of speculation around it. Whilst Uncharted may be a less popular property than Spider-Man, it has had a longer history than either Horizon or Days Gone. Although Uncharted did launch early in the week on a Wednesday, its Thursday player count only rose to a peak of 9,460.

The Legacy of Thieves Collection is made up of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the standalone expansion Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The first three entries of the Uncharted series are not available on Steam, which could perhaps result in players waiting before playing the last game in the series, and the conclusion of Nathan Drake’s story.
