Resident Evil 4 Remake: Saddler Boss Guide

This is it. Leon has finally reached the docks to face off against the cult leader himself, Lord Saddler. After a close call with the deranged man, Leon and Ada team up to finish off this parasitic threat in Resident Evil 4 Remake once and for all. If Saddler goes down, Las Plagas will be no more!

Lord Saddler would be manageable if he stayed in his current form, but – as is tradition for villains in this series – he mutates into a Lovecraftian beast to face you. Leon will need to use every trick in the book to take down this monster, which is why we’ve put this guide together for you!

Saddler Boss Guide In Resident Evil 4 Remake

The first stage of the Saddler boss fight takes place in a kind of docking bay. His first form, if you can stand to look at it for long, has multiple eyes all over its body. These are the clear weak points, and landing enough shots in any of them will cause him to temporarily crumple. Target the ones on his limbs and then run in when he’s down for a melee attack where Leon stabs his central eye with his knife.

Saddler will grow more eyes as this phase continues, but the strategy remains the same. The only thing to watch out for is when he calls in a bunch of those bugs from the Hive to attack you. Take those out as fast as possible so you can focus on the big b

Once he transforms again, the second phase begins. This time Saddler has lost any resemblance to anything human, but still has that telltale giant yellow glowing eye. Naturally, you will want to direct all your firepower there. Saddler will attack you, but you will be able to hit a dodge prompt to avoid most sweeps. Once you do enough damage, or enough time has passed, Ada will come in for the assist and toss you the Special Rocket Launcher.

Fire off this final blast and a cutscene will trigger that sees the end of dear Lord Saddler.

While the boss is dead may be you still need to escape! Time to hop on that jet ski and ride off into the sunset.
