Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

Aiming down sights (ADS) is getting a patch fix in time for the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, as confirmed by the developers in an Instagram post. Throughout the beta for Modern Warfare II, ADS in the third person would switch players to a first-person perspective.

This ensures accuracy to get the perfect shot, but switching to and fro could be troublesome on occasion. Now, the patch update will ensure that ADS runs smoother for players. “No scope, no problem,” the developers confirmed in the post. ”Updated since the beta, only scopes over 4X will activate first-person ADS.”

Additionally, changes have been made to the third-person FOV and shoulder swap POV to assist players in peeking around tight corners. The third-person mode was unveiled during the recent Modern Warfare II beta, and the feedback received has led Infinity Ward to make these changes. In September, Infinity Ward implemented a wave of crucial changes during the second weekend of the beta. Chief among the bugs addressed were player visibility, audio problems, and weapon tuning.

As Gameluster recently reported, the beta was the biggest in Call of Duty’s history – a feat that accounted for most matches played across all consoles. “One of the most important parts of the Beta is having you, the players, find new bugs and issues for us. We are grateful to the community for coming together to help us fine-tune this game—and we can’t wait to show you even more,” Activision said in a statement.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch across all major platforms, including the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam on Oct. 28. For more on all things Call of Duty, stay tuned right here at GameLuster.
