Trailblazer

- How to Obtain: You can claim this character, Honkai Star Rail’s main protagonist, during the early stages of the game. Just keep progressing through the main game story line, and soon, you will get to participate in the combat tutorial session, which will reward you with this free character on completion.
March 7th
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: March 7th is another character you are given as a reward for participating in the gameplay tutorial session.
Herta
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: You can claim Herta after completing one of the missions, ‘Simulated Universe: First Closed Beta.’ To do so, you must travel to the universe she resides in, the Herta Space Station.
Asta
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: Asta will show up when you attempt your very first Warp. Basically, Warp is a type of gacha system through which players can pull different types of playable characters.
Serval
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: You can check your in-game mailbox to collect this character. However, Serval is only available to players who pre-registered for the game before its final release.
Dan Heng
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: Alongside Trailblazer and Asta, you can claim Dan Heng by completing the gameplay tutorials.
Qingque
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: You need to reach level 21 and clear Forgotten Hall – Memory Stage 3 to get Qingque as your reward.
Natasha
- Rating: 4 Star
- How to Obtain: She is tied to a specific quest named ‘Lying in Rust.’ On completing the quest, you can add this playable character to your collection.
