Palworld: How To Get Fiber

When playing Palworld, you must gather various resources to survive in the harsh wilderness. One of the materials you need is Fiber, which can be quite hard to find, especially for new players. In this guide, we will explain how you can collect a large amount of this resource in no time.

Palworld Fiber Guide

You can get Fiber by cutting down trees with a Stone Axe, which you can craft using five Wood and five Stones. Each tree will drop around four to seven Fibers, so you will need to chop down a bunch of trees to get several dozen. Ensure that you regularly check your tool’s durability since the Stone Axe is quite fragile and needs frequent maintenance.

Some Pals may also drop this resource once they are defeated. One of the early game Pals you can encounter is Hoocrates, which spawns during the night. This creature looks like a grumpy owl and is a Dark type. If you assign it to your base, it can use its Gathering skill to cut down trees and generate Wood and Fiber.

Once you reach level 8, you can build a Crusher at your base. This structure can turn your extra Wood into Fibers, which is great since you will get more Wood than Fiber when chopping down trees. Do note that you must assign a Water type Pal, like Teafant, to operate this machine.

How To Use Fiber In Palworld

You will need Fiber to craft various Bow weapons, from a regular Bow to a Fire Bow. At the Primitive Workstation, you can also turn Fiber into Cloth, which you need to create your first armor, the Cloth Outfit. You will unlock its recipe at level four, and you can craft one outfit using two pieces of Cloth.

Besides that, you also need Fiber to make Straw Pal Beds, which you need in your base to ensure your Pals stay healthy. Even your bed also requires some Fibers to be built, but be warned that you can only place this item inside a house and cannot put it outside in the open.
