Pokémon Squishmallows are out now

Pokémon‘s collaboration with Squishmallows has launched, featuring Pikachu and Gengar.

The plush toys, which are produced by the popular Squishmallows brand in partnership with The Pokémon Company, are now available at The Pokémon Center online stores, and will in the future be purchasable from physical Pokémon Center retail outlets around the world.

The item is limited to one per customer in an effort to curb scalping, an issue not only with Pokemon collectibles but with Squishmallows too.

While the first series of the collaboration features Pikachu and Gengar, a second series that is known to include Snorlax will launch some time in 2023.

Pokémon’s latest games, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, hit Nintendo Switch last week.

In VGC’s Pokémon Scarlet and Violet review, we said the games were the most feature-rich Pokémon titles in years but suffered from technical issues.

“The huge expansion and changes to the single player campaign are great, the size of the world and the joy of exploration are the best in the series, and the new Pokemon and battle mechanics introduced all sing,” we wrote.

“However, it’s just impossible to shake the thought of how much better the game would feel if it was on more powerful hardware, or simply ran acceptably on Switch.”
