Street Fighter 6 Feature Will Show Whether Opponent Is Playing On Wired Connection Or Wi-Fi

With the much-anticipated Street Fighter 6 releasing in just two days, a player has spotted that a built-in feature of the game will show whether your opponent is playing via a wired connection or using Wi-Fi.

Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 launches on June 2 and with positive critic reviews already under its belt, it looks to be another epic addition to the famous franchise.

With brand-new features for the sixth instalment, a fan has spotted one that may cause some toxicity. The feature in question will show an indicator next to a player which shows whether they are playing via Wi-Fi or through a wired connection. Although this seems like a small, easily-missed feature for some, for hardcore players, somebody’s connection is pretty important.

The game is still just as playable via Wi-Fi but some may argue that a wired connection is a steadier one. As a result, it could cause some toxicity. However, let’s hope that isn’t the case. This feature was spotted courtesy of Rooflemonger on Twitter.

We assume this feature has been added so people are aware of the game’s matchmaking before the match begins. However, it remains to be seen how the quality-of-life feature will be received in-game.

As for Street Fighter 6, it currently sits at a score of 92 on Metacritic based on 68 critic reviews. Polygon claim that “Capcom made the ultimate fighting game toolbox” and The Guardian calls it “the new king of fighting games.”

With three playable modes including the traditional Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub, there is a play style available for everyone. Additionally, the game also features 18 fighters to choose from, each offering unique fighting styles and abilities. Whether you choose the high-kicking ICPO agent Chun-Li or the sadistic thrill-seeker Juri, the options are endless.

Will you be fighting the day away on June 2? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to GameLuster for more gaming news!
